Are exo trains and buses accessible to people with reduced mobility?

Exo offers several accessibility measures on its train and bus networks, but the level of accessibility varies depending on the line, station and vehicle.

Train accessibility

  • The Mascouche line is the only line that’s fully accessible.
  • Fourteen stations on the commuter rail network are accessible, including Saint-Jérôme, Lucien-L’Allier and Montréal-Ouest.
  • Forty-four train cars (18 from the 2050 series and 26 from the 3000 series) are considered accessible due to their reserved spaces.

All cars feature certain accessibility elements (audio/visual announcements, grab bars, etc.), but their availability varies depending on the model.

Bus accessibility

Some bus routes are available, including the L15 Repentigny, as well as routes L104, L481, and L482 in the eastern Montérégie region.

Accessible buses generally include:

  • An access ramp
  • A low floor with a lowering (kneeling) system
  • Accessible stops
  • One or two reserved spaces
