How do I book a trip?

Download the exo on-demand transport app

The exo on-demand transport app is available on the App Store and Google Play. To sign up, simply enter your full name, email and phone number.

Choose your itinerary and time

Enter your addresses of departure and arrival, the date and time of your trip, and the number of people travelling. The app will propose a route to your destination.

Travelling as a group?

You can book a trip for one or several people, depending on the available seating in the vehicle.

03.
Go to the specified stop

The vehicle will arrive at the time confirmed in your reservation. Please present yourself at the stop a few minutes beforehand.

Travel with peace of mind! You can follow your vehicle in real time on the app, and you’ll receive a notification as it approaches.

Have a change of plans?

It’s important that you modify or cancel your reservation, preferably 1 hour in advance, to allow another user to take advantage of the service:

  • On the app, go to the “My Reservations” tab.
  • Or call one of our agents at 1-833-255-6396, Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Identify your vehicle and hop aboard

Identify your ride thanks to the EXO À LA DEMANDE sign on the vehicle. Once on board, you can see the time of arrival at your destination in real time.

The vehicle will drop you at the stop closest to your destination, within the area served.

  • You may transfer to a regular exo line or McMasterville station at any time. Be sure to hold a valid fare when you do so.
  • Exo on-demand offers 2 other booking options, either via the dedicated website or by calling 1 833 allo exo (255-6396) during our customer service hours to book your trip from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.

  • Yes, all buses are equipped with bike racks (two per bus: first come, first served).

    Hours vary according to the length of the daylight period:

    • From April 15 to May 31 until 9 p.m.
    • From June 1 to August 31 until 9:30 p.m.
    • From September 1 to October 31 until 7:30 p.m.
  • A virtual stop is a safe boarding and disembarking area located at an intersection. However, there are no traditional bus stop signs at these locations.
  • To avoid delays for other reservations, the driver cannot wait for you at the bus stop. If you are absent, he will make sure to indicate that you have not used the service. Your absence will be noted in your account. Exo reserves the right to take action in the event of misuse.

    If your plans suddenly change, you may cancel your trip up until the time of your departure. Cancelling in advance is important, as it allows us to give the spot to another customer.

  • No, the app will provide a boarding location based on your departure address, as well as a drop-off location based on your arrival address. New virtual stops have been added to several intersections to better serve you.

    Please note that the proposed stops are, by default, located no more than 5 minutes from your departure address.

    To find more stops, you may expand the search area in your preferences by increasing the maximum walking time on the Link reservation app.

  • Depending on how late your train is, the reservation system will react differently.

    If your train is:

    • Less than 10 minutes late,
      you will not need to change your reservation. Your bus driver will be informed. You may take the bus.
    • Between 10 and 25 minutes late,
      you will receive a notification via the Link app to inform you whether your reservation is maintained or if you need to make a new one.
    • More than 25 minutes late,
      your reservation will be cancelled and you’ll have to make a new one.

  • Exo has recently equipped itself with a unified technological platform that brings together all its on-demand transport services in its territory. Until very recently, the pilot projects in Beloeil-McMasterville and Terrebonne used two separate applications. The deployment of the new application for users is being done progressively, starting with the Beloeil-McMasterville area. Eventually, all current and future exo on-demand services will be offered through this new reservation application.
  • No, no data entered in Link is transferred to the new app. To continue using exo on-demand, you must download the exo on-demand transport app (available on the App Store and Google Play) and enter your user information anew.
  • The exo on-demand transport app will be available on November 21, 2023. You can start using it to book your rides as of November 28.
  • You can use it to book rides until November 28, 2023. After this date, you will no longer be able to use it to make reservations.
  • You can book your trips up to 7 days in advance. The application will ask you to confirm your trip by day.
  • Yes, you can do so at all times via the mobile app, our webInternet site or by calling our customer service during business hours (Monday to Friday, from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). You can also use our chat line, available weekdays between noon and 4:30 p.m.
  • You can book your ride between 7 days and 15 minutes in advance by using the mobile app, by visiting our web site or by phoning our customer service during business hours. You can also contact us via our chat line on weekdays between noon and 4:30 p.m.

    It is possible to book two rides within 30 minutes of each other.

  • Reservations can be changed or cancelled 10 minutes before the event. However, a minimal delay of one hour before the scheduled time is advised in order for us to be able to assign this place to another customer.

    If you neglect to cancel your reservation and do not show up at the scheduled time, an «Absent» mention will be added to your account and you will receive an email or text message.

  • Yes! You only need to indicate the number of people sharing the ride when making the reservation.
  • Yes, the terms of use for exo buses also apply to this service. To book a ride, each user must have an account to their name and download the exo on-demand transport mobile app for an optimal experience. Otherwise, it is possible book rides under someone else’s account by using the booking portal on our web site, or by calling customer service, or via our chat service.
  • Yes! Since September 1, 2022, public transit is free in Beloeil and McMasterville.
