My spring break with exo
I'm going to let you in on a little secret: even though I’m no longer in school, I still take some time for myself during spring break. Here are three destinations in Delson that are easy to get to with exo!
1. Café L'Apostrophe
Whether to enjoy a quiet read or grab a coffee with friends, I highly recommend a visit to Café L'Apostrophe in Delson. I absolutely love this place. It has a warm and colourful atmosphere worthy of Pinterest and a boutique area overflowing with local products. I grabbed a chai latte, and it was sublime! I should also note the café doesn’t offer Wi-Fi, which is perfectly fine with me. It’s an excellent way to disconnect from your phone and better connect with the people around you.
To get there: Lines 533, 151, 651
Address: 36 Blvd. Marie-Victorin, Delson
2. Parc de la Tortue
I spend 40 hours a week in front of my computer, so you can bet I take every possible opportunity to get some fresh air and clear my head. Plus, spring break is a perfect occasion to enjoy the winter! So I set out on the trails of Parc de la Tortue in Delson. The groomed paths run for two kilometres along the Rivière de la Tortue, offering peaceful scenery. I also discovered sledding hills and a turtle nesting site that I’ll definitely come back to see in the spring. There are several entrances to the trails, all easily accessible by public transit.
To get there: Lines 615, 553, 151
Address: 180, rue Principale N, Delson
3. Palais du patin
I haven’t laced up a pair of roller skates since I was a kid, so I was excited and curious to visit the Palais du Patin, located at the Centre Sportif in Delson. Its eclectic and dazzling ambiance totally amazed me. The roller-skating rink is lit up with neon lights, accompanied by lively music. It’s so much fun! As for my skating skills, I’d give them a solid 3/10. ;)
Note that tickets sell out quickly, so I suggest booking in advance.
To get there: Lines 552, 152
Address: 100, av. de Delson, Delson
There you have it! Whether you’re looking to relax, explore the great outdoors or get moving, these spots have everything you could ask for to enjoy your spring break. The best part: they’re all 100% accessible by public transit with exo!
