Travelling with kids
Updated on February 3, 2025

Riding with exo makes your family activities easier. Plus, kids aged 11 years and under ride for free. Here’s how to enjoy worry-free travel with little ones.
Free rides and reduced fares
All year round, children aged 11 and under travel free of charge when accompanied by a person aged 14 or over who holds a valid ticket and is responsible for their supervision. This person may not be accompanied by more than 5 children aged 6 to 11 years old.
For older travellers, a student fare is available on the OPUS card with photo.
Some safety precautions
To ensure the safety of the children under their supervision and other transit users, accompanying adults must:
Always keep the children close by or within their field of vision.
Advise the children not to run in stations or terminals and when boarding or disembarking from trains or buses.
Clearly inform the children, in advance, when the group will disembark from the train or bus.
Supervise the children to ensure quiet areas in trains remain peaceful.
Ensure the children do not sit on the floor, for hygiene reasons.
Gotta go? We’ve got you covered.
All train sets on every line are now equipped with washrooms. You’ll find them on the cars that house the train’s driver.
