My suggestions for activities on the South Shore during spring break
Every year at spring break, parents rack their brains to find activities for their kids. And yet, our city and surrounding areas are loaded with fun things to do. Here are my suggestions for spring break activities the whole family can enjoy on Montréal’s South Shore.
Having fun can be free
A visit to the library is a highly enjoyable outing for kids that’s also educational. The library in Chambly is the perfect place to spend time with your little ones. The stacks are filled with a wide variety of books, from timeless classics to the latest releases. Whether you’re a fan of fiction, history or children’s books, there’s something for everyone in the family. Once you’ve made your selections, you can dive into your books at the library or take them home to cozy up for some family reading time.

Sleeping away to change up your routine!
One thing I love to do with my family is spend a night away from home. Manoir Ramezay is a delightful place to book an overnight stay. Not only is it a historical site, but it’s also a great place to go for a meal or enjoy a coffee since it has a wonderful restaurant as well as a delightful café in the basement. Each of the Manoir’s 14 rooms and suites has an intimate and personalized ambiance.

Playing outdoors
Why not take advantage of our snowy landscape to capture some beautiful family photos outside? Simply grab your cellphone or camera and visit one of the magnificent sites on Montréal’s South Shore. I suggest visiting the Chambly Locks where you’ll find an enchanting decor for memorable family pictures. Just remember to say “cheese”! It’s also a great opportunity to build a snowman on site if the weather permits, and warm up afterwards with a delicious hot chocolate.

The best things in life don’t have to cost money. With a bit of creativity, you can enjoy some unforgettable moments as a family.
Happy spring break!
