Interview with Kimmy Article published on March 17, 2026 Have you ever been riding a bus or train and seen a disposable cup on the floor, sliding around with every turn, acceleration, and stop? This cup’s name is Kimmy, and her useful life has come to an end in a very unfortunate way. Today, we have the privilege of meeting her for an unfiltered interview, where she reveals what it’s like to be a disposable product. She also reminds us that simple gestures, such as putting your trash in the bin, can improve the journey for many of your fellow passengers. Hello! My name is Kimmy. I’m a disposable cup made from corrugated paper. I like my espresso black, which matches my mood and my short temper! My owner tossed me to the floor of the bus after her last sip. I carried her hot coffee all morning, and this is how she thanks me? She could have waited and dropped me in a recycling bin at the bus stop, but she couldn’t get rid of me fast enough. I can’t believe I’ve ended up on the floor of a bus, rolling between the seats and other passengers’ feet! I was hoping for a more dignified end, like joining my pals in recycling. Is that too much to ask? Whether you’re a disposable cup, a piece of chewing gum, a candy bar wrapper, or an old receipt, you deserve to end your life with dignity in a trash can or recycling bin. Public places, such as train cars and buses, are shared with other people. Show some respect for your fellow citizens by keeping the premises clean and disposing your trash in the appropriate places. Simple, often spontaneous actions create a smoother, safer, and more pleasant environment. You’re a lifesaver! That’s very kind of you. I’m sure the other passengers will appreciate your gesture, too. Thankfully, Kimmy’s adventure had a happy ending. What if we made sure that all our garbage ended up like this? A simple gesture, such as putting a scrap of paper in your bag to throw away at home, can make the journey more pleasant for everyone.
