This year, my goal is to make more eco-friendly choices. So here are 4 simple resolutions for a more sustainable year.
Using various modes of transportation
In 2024, you can change the way you get around by finding alternatives to using the car. You can choose to walk to stores near your home, ride your bike in warmer weather to visit your neighbourhood and nearby towns, and take public transit for longer distances. Thanks to the exo network, you can hop aboard a bus that will take you to all sorts of places! Simply consult the available routes and plan your next adventure.
Shopping second-hand
In addition to being affordable, shopping second-hand allows you to give a new life to all sorts of things, from household items to your wardrobe, with more unique options. I love making a list of things I want to find and keeping an eye out every time I visit a thrift store.

Visiting the library
As a big reader, libraries are some of my favourite places. I love to borrow the books on my reading list, and the best part is it’s free. They’re also a great place to take your kids—most libraries have spaces set up for little ones. And when you ride the bus, you can start your book on the way home!

Reducing food waste
Cutting down on food waste is my biggest challenge this year! I’ve been using a few tricks to try and reduce my waste as much as possible, such as making meals with things I already have at home and avoiding impulse buys at grocery stores. Shopping at zero-waste stores is also a good habit to make. By buying the specific quantity you need, there’s less chance of any going to waste.
