Exiting between stops: a safe service on our buses

Credit: @technet9090After 8 p.m., did you know that customers travelling alone, regardless of gender or whether they’re travelling with or without children, may ask the bus driver to let them exit the vehicle between two stops?
By reducing the distance our passengers need to walk in the dark, exo helps to improve their safety.
How it works
It’s easy to take advantage of this service! Simply tell the driver ahead of time where you’d like to exit the bus. This place must be on the bus route, as the driver is not allowed to deviate from it.
You must ask the driver at least one stop in advance, so they have enough time to plan for the additional stop.
They’ll drop you nearby, while making sure to follow all applicable safety protocols.
You must exit through the front door, which will allow the driver to warn you of any obstacles and ensure you can get out safely.
These obstacles can vary and include bike lanes, street furniture, and high steps, even when the bus is lowered.
For people in wheelchairs, the driver must ensure that the location where you wish to exit allows the front ramp to be deployed safely onto the sidewalk.
According to Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité Durable (MTQ) guidelines, passengers may not exit between two stops in zones where the speed limit is 70 km/h or higher.
Day or night, you can plan your trips using our trip planner.
