This season, hit the toboggan runs on the South Shore. Here are five of the region’s best-groomed sledding hills accessible by public transit.


🛷 The toboggan hill in Sainte-Julie

The Armand-Frappier sledding hill in Sainte-Julie

When the conditions are right, the toboggan hill in Sainte-Julie is a must in the region for sledding enthusiasts. There are individual sledding tracks and on busy days a monitor is on-site to ensure everything runs smoothly.

And good news for snowboarders: you’re welcome to use the hill, too.

Where: Located at the intersection of Armand-Frappier Blvd. and Chemin du Fer-à-Cheval

The sledding hill at Quartier de la Gare in Mont-Saint-Hilaire

The three-lane sledding hill is groomed with a snowcat and equipped with an artificial snow cannon. It’s open daily from 10 a.m. until nightfall.

Powered by solar lighting, the Grizzly slope features 5 lanes and reaches a height of 8 metres. On chilly days, sledding enthusiasts can warm up by the cozy gas fireplace.

Tube rentals are also available on-site.

Tucked away in a picturesque, wind-protected setting, Parc Régional des Grèves features a 4-lane sledding hill with well-maintained, groomed runs. Air tubes are available for rent ($), and a cozy chalet on-site offers a spot to warm up and enjoy a snack.

This hill is a favourite with kids, as it stays open nearly all winter thanks to artificial snow produced by the city’s snow cannons. Another bonus: the park is lit up in the evening for nighttime fun.
