Reconstruction of the north platform (track 3) in 2025
This part of the project will bring many advantages:

Improve accessibility and safety for users by adding tactile warning tiles.

Enhance user experience by offering a modern, friendly, comfortable environment.

Add a disability-access ramp that will, in time, allow people with reduced mobility to use the Saint-Jérôme line.
The project also provides for replacing the existing west premises. This phase will take place in 2026-2027.

The project consists in a complete reconstruction of the north platform (track 3), mostly used by the 12 Saint-Jérôme train line. This part of the project will be completed in 2025.
It also provides for replacing the existing premises on the west side of the station. This part of the work is scheduled for 2026-2027. -
The project aims at enhancing user experience by offering a modern, friendly and easily accessible environment.
The objective is also to harmonize all the platforms by completing the work done on the south platform in 2015.

Reconstruction of the north platform (track 3) will be completed in 2 phases:

Rebuilding the eastern part of the platform: March 31 to July 31*, 2025

* The changeover date between the two phases could vary substantially.

Service will be maintained at all times. However, platform changes will occur at various moments during the day.

During phase 2 (August to December)

Both accesses to track 3 coming from the west tunnel (metro side) will be closed. Users will have to access track 3 by using the east tunnel (station and ticket office side). Signs will be posted to guide users during these changes.

Track changes are also to be expected in off-peak periods. More details to come.

For the time being, no such changes are expected. However, should significant delays occur, this would have an impact on schedules. Users will be informed of any schedule change.

During phase 1 (March to July), all train cars will be easily accessible for boarding or disembarking.
During phase 2 (August to December), some cars will not be accessible for boarding and disembarking at Vendôme station. When this is the case, signs will be posted at all stations on the Saint-Jérôme line to indicate clearly which ones are concerned. -
Normally no, provided that you use the correct route inside Vendôme station to reach platform 3. Signage with plans indicating the detours will be posted at all accesses to both the station and the metro (inside and outside) as well as coming from the MUHC. It will be important to follow these indications carefully to get to platform 3 as directly as possible.

Yes, the east tunnel access, which is accessible and offers elevators, will be open at all times.

No, because service will be maintained at all times.

The lot located at the angle of De Maisonneuve and Decarie boulevards will be used by the contractor. This location, which was used as a parking spot by some users, will not be accessible while the work is underway.
Everything will be done to minimize any impact the project could have on the neighborhood. However, trucks will be circulating (about 10 per day), and some noise, vibrations and dust are to be expected.

Preparatory steps such as installing fences and some material could begin as of March 10.
Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. However, teams could be on site as early as 6:30. -
Noise, dust and vibration sensors will be installed at various locations near the site. The contractor must comply with the limits imposed by law and the applicable city regulations.

Yes, notices will be distributed door to door to all residents of the CDN-NDG district and the city of Westmount to inform them of the possible impact of the renovation work.
