Vaudreuil/Hudson

In brief

After having connected Canada from east to west in 1885, Canadian Pacific (CP) built this line originally designed for trains running between Montréal and Ottawa. Stops were added in 1887 in certain locations between Montréal and the city of Rigaud.

Starting in downtown Montréal, the Vaudreuil-Hudson line follows the south shore of Montréal Island, servicing the western suburb, before crossing the St. Lawrence River toward the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region. Offering uninterrupted service since 1889, it has been operated by the RTM since 1996.
