A Reminder of a Few Simple Rules
In Park-and-Ride Lots and Metropolitan Terminals
Roll up your vehicle’s windows and lock the doors.
Never leave objects likely to attract thieves in plain sight in your vehicle.
Never leave insurance and registration documentation in your vehicle.
Respect signage.
Respect areas reserved for parking: one car, one space.
Immediately report any suspicious activity to an RTM inspector or call the RTM’s customer service at: 514 287-8726.
On Station Platforms
Never cross the yellow safety line except when boarding a train.
Give way to passengers getting off the train before boarding.
Cross the railway track only at the designated location and only once trains have departed.
Be attentive to the bell indicating a train’s arrival at the station.
Keep an eye on your backpack when on the platform.

On the Train
Be attentive to the door closing signal.
Locate exits, emergency exits and emergency equipment cabinets.
Refer to signs posted in each car for what to do in emergency situations and where to find the necessary emergency and first aid equipment.
During the trip, do not stand between two cars or near the doors.
Keep doors and walkways clear at all times.
Immediately report any problem to an RTM inspector or train employee.
What to Do in the Event of an Emergency on a Train
Immediately inform the train inspector if he or she is nearby.
Warn the train conductor using the intercom located in each car.
Reminder: it is very important to contact the train conductor before undertaking any action. He or she knows how to respond and will tell you what to do. Any person who misuses the emergency systems is subject to a fine.
